When to go to Albania

The beach season runs from May to September. July and August are the busiest months — and the most expensive: Ksamil fills up and it pays to book months ahead. The sweet spot is June and September: the same turquoise sea, easy-to-reach beaches and hotels 20-30% cheaper. For the historic cities (Gjirokastër, Berat, Tirana) and the Theth Alps, spring and autumn are ideal.
